David Barton

David Barton (b. 1983) is based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, where he teaches flute, piano and singing, currently teaching over 50 students ranging in age from 11 to 78. As a composer and arranger, David has over 100 works published in the UK and overseas.  He writes a blog that reviews and promotes new music from Faber Music, Hal Leonard, OUP, ABRSM and others. He is also active in the field of music education; he earned a PhD from the Royal College of Music on autonomy and control in private music teaching, and runs an online mentoring programme for those working towards teaching diplomas.
