Hallelu! Hallelujah! Sing to the Lord a new song.
Let the faithful lift up the praises which unto Him belong.
Let the children of Zion praise their maker and King.
With the dance, with the timbrel, and with the harp His praises sing.
For the Lord takes his pleasure lifting high those of low degree,
Looks upon them with favor and adorns them with victory.
Let the faithful delight in all the Lord God has planned.
Let God's praises be in their mouth, and a sword be in their hand.
God will work out his vengeance on the nations that rage in vain,
Bind the tyrants in fetters, bind the nobles in iron chains,
Give the judgment as written, grant the justice as due.
This is Israel's glory. Sing hallelujah! Hallelu!

Sie sollen in dem Reigen loben des Herren Nam;
Cornelius Becker (1561 — 1604)
