One of a set of seven delightful psalm settings by Heinrich Schütz (from Opus 5, Becker Psalter settings) in fresh English paraphrases. Schütz’s psalms are tuneful, rhythmic, easy to learn, and useful throughout the year.
Oh, what a good and pleasant thing when kindred dwell in unity.
In such a way should Christian folk all live in peace and harmony.
For, as from Hermon's mountain height cool morning dew runs down below,
Watering Zion's holy hill, causing green leaf and blade to grow,
Just so will God his Grace and Life grant unto hearts by peace possessed.
Thus will they here God's goodness find, and be in the hereafter blessed.
